The NStar Challenge (since renamed the Eversource Challenge due to a change in the sponsoring company) is an annual online contest where children in grades K-12 submit entries on the theme of energy conservation.

The image above shows a slightly revised version of the original site, which was coded from the ground up using HTML, CSS and jQuery, based on a graphic designer’s PSD file.  In addition to coding the site, several contributions were made to both the site User Experience and User Interface, for which a Team Award was received.

The current version of the site is using completely different code, but the original versions ran for the first few years of the contest.
